Blog

Blogging is a very easy way to make content for your website. Some people make websites based entirely around one giant blog.

A blog is pretty much just an online journal you add to about anything going on in your life or things going on in the world.

It's REALLY easy!

The Catch is that blogs are mostly effective when the person blogging has a legion of fans who want to know about his or her everyday life. If you just go and make a blog about yourself, I doubt anyone would be willing to read it other than people you tell or a few of your friends.

If you do manage to make a successful blog, your loyal visitors will constantly return to your website to catch your latest update, thus generating decent traffic for your website.

A simple Example of a blog:

May 10, 2008Today I bought a cat that was on fire. Once I extinguished it I realized it was actually a very ugly cat to begin with. I felt bad for it so I set it back on fire and sold it for twice what I paied for it.
May 12, 2008The cat managed to come back and attacked me while I was lounging in my backyard. It was still on fire and left several burns on me, but I managed to send it flying into the neighbor's house, causing their house to burn to the ground and burying the ferocious feline.
May 18, 2008I sure do miss my Fire Cat...

The more entertaining it is, the more people will want to read it. Clearly that example would be fictional, but it's your blog, so you get to decide. Just type all of that into your webpage, nothing else to it.

Remote Blogs

You don't have to have your own website to have a Blog. While there are a lot of webmasters who post blogs on their websites, there are even more people posting free blogs on popular blog platforms. The two most popular are Blogger and WordPress.

You can choose to host your own blog or use a remote blog for free. The only difference being one is free and the other you can have complete control over the domain name (Yourblog.com) and it is more content efficient.

Now you know about Blogs, so let's move onto Forums.
